Beginning care at Kairos Psychiatry is designed to be simple, private, and clear.

Step 1

Request an Appointment

Submit a brief appointment request or contact the office directly.

You may be asked for basic contact information and general scheduling needs. Clinical information should be shared through secure practice systems only.

Step 2

Complete Intake Forms

Before your first appointment, you will complete intake paperwork through a secure system. This may include health history, medication history, consent forms, practice policies, and screening questionnaires.

Step 3

Initial Evaluation

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.

This is a time to discuss your concerns in detail, review previous treatments, clarify goals, and begin developing a treatment plan.

Step 4

Treatment Plan

After the evaluation, recommendations may include medication, follow-up care, lifestyle considerations, therapy referral, coordination with other providers, or additional assessment.

Treatment is collaborative. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and consider your options.

For children and adolescents

A parent or legal guardian must be involved in the intake process for minors.

The initial evaluation may include time with the parent or guardian, time with the child or adolescent when appropriate, and a discussion of treatment recommendations.

The goal is to understand the young person’s symptoms, development, family context, school experience, strengths, and treatment needs.
