Hi, I’m Kai.
Kraiwit “Kai” Kraisirisophon is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner trained across the lifespan. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing in Psychiatric-Mental Health from Vanderbilt University and provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults.
Kai’s clinical background includes training in outpatient psychiatry, integrated behavioral health, trauma-informed care, psychopharmacology, crisis assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. His approach is warm, collaborative, affirming, and practical, with attention to the whole person rather than symptoms alone.
Kai values culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+-affirming care. He understands that identity, family, culture, relationships, safety, and lived experience can all shape mental health and treatment needs.
When working with children and adolescents, Kai emphasizes careful assessment, parent or guardian collaboration, and developmentally appropriate care. When working with adults, he focuses on clear communication, thoughtful medication decisions, and treatment plans that feel realistic and sustainable.
His goal is to provide psychiatric care that feels respectful, unrushed, clinically grounded, and deeply human.
Outside of work, Kai enjoys traveling, spending time with his dogs, caring for plants, and cooking. He believes the small details of daily life — rest, environment, connection, routine, and beauty — can deeply shape how we feel.
Care with me is:
Collaborative
You are involved in decisions about your treatment. Questions are welcomed.
Practical
Treatment should fit your actual life, not an idealized version of it.
Discreet
The setting is private, calm, and professional.
Careful
Medication decisions are made thoughtfully, with attention to benefits, risks, side effects, and your past experiences.
Whole-person focused
Symptoms are important, but they are understood within the broader context of your life.
